The Irish Car rental desk is located in main arrivals hall at Knock Airport. If you wish to return your car to Knock Airport outside of our office hours this will not be a problem. Please ask our staff the return procedure when you collect your car.
Airport Location Information
Knock Airport is located about 6 miles North of Claremorris on the N17 Road. The airport is well signposted on all major routes and is served by an excellent road network. (View Knock Airport Location on a Map).

West Airport Knock serves the West and North West of

looking at a map of Ireland. Within a 90 minute drive
of the Airport are, the Hills of Donegal, beautiful
Derry, the Erne lakes and river of Fermanagh. Less
than 1 hours away is Yeats country Sligo, the towns of
the River Shannon, Connemara and the capital of the
West - thriving City of the Tribes - Galway.

By Rail.

nearest railway station from Ireland West Airport
Knock is Claremorris (31 km) or Ballyhaunis (22km).

InterCity
InterCity services run from Dublin’s Heuston and
Connolly Stations to Belfast, Sligo, Ballina,
Westport, Galway, Limerick, Ennis, Tralee, Cork,
Waterford and Rosslare Europort. Services also run
between Rosslare Europort and Limerick; Cork and
Tralee; and Cork and Limerick. There are 87 InterCity
stations in Ireland. Services are divided into
Standard and Superstandard Classes. Trains also have
smoking and non-smoking carriages, although the
Belfast/Dublin Enterprise service is completely
non-smoking.

Specific
taxi-cabs are licenced by Ireland West Airport Knock
and are available outside the Terminal Building. These
cabs provide taxi services to/from the Airport to
destinations within the region, complimenting bus,
rail and car hire transportation. If you wish to order
a taxi, please phone the Airport at 094 9367222 and
ask for the licenced taxi on rota duty for that
particular day. For International dialling use the
prefix 00 353, drop the 0 and continue with the
remaining numbers.
Arriving on Your Flight to Knock
Flying into Knock Airport is "hassle-free" and although a comparatively small airport by International standards. Customs and immigration in Ireland is normal, naturally no contraband items will be tolerated. You can get all the information about incoming and outbound flights from the Knock Airport Website Here: Allow at least 30 minutes or so to disembark, collect luggage, clear customs and arrange transportation. Most major hotels will arrange for you to be collected and quality tour operators will have someone meet you or your group at the Airport.
